RELAUNCHING RIGHT CLUB
Following the success of a new workshop group for young girls, DG Counseling is excited to launch another variation of the Right Club for the summer months.
The premise of the six-week group, open to girls ages 14-16, will be to externalize feelings through the therapeutic exercises of writing, storytelling and journaling. The group will be given a different prompt for each week to journal and reflect on before eventually sharing among fellow group members the following week. One prompt, as an example, will be writing a story — not necessarily a life story but simply on events that were defining or shaping. This can entail writing a lot or something concise.
The anticipated start date for the workshop is July 20th, with the group running regularly on Mondays from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at DGC’s Glen Ellyn location (799 Roosevelt Road, Building 4, Suite 105). The goal is for group members to have left the six-week adventure feeling the emotionally corrective, right experience on their life journey.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, the Right Club can be offered virtual for many, although if anyone would like to join face to face, that is also welcomed. DG Counseling’s Practitioners will facilitate the group, with Dr. Donna Gluck, EdD, overseeing.
Anyone seeking therapeutic intervention, cathartic camaraderie or just simply a place to air out emotions pen-to-paper are encouraged to join via 630-353-0697 or email info@dgcounselinginc.com.
